Peoples Christian Academy believes in giving young hearts and minds a strong foundation for life. We see each child as a precious gift of God who requires nurturing and care. Imparting knowledge and values that will serve them a lifetime should begin at an early age.
Our Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 students are challenged and encouraged to learn through innovative instruction, such as the Innovative
AIM French Program for Grades 3 - 6. There are computer classes for Grades 4 - 6, an Outdoor Education Program for Grade 6, a Learn to Skate Program for SK to Grade 3 and a Learn to Ski Program for Grades 4 - 6, as well as a range of athletic and fine art programs.
Our youngsters also participate in spelling bees, speech meet competitions, chess and various sport team participation tournaments through
ASCI. All courses are integrated with a Christian worldview, through daily devotions, Bible classes and weekly chapels.
With our accelerated academics, PCA students typically score very high on CAT/3 Tests.
In 2008, 89% of our graduates were Ontario Scholars and 100% were accepted at the post secondary institution of their choice. On the standardized tests taken by Grades 3, 5, 7 and 9, over 90% of our students were above the Canadian norm in all tests.
Special notice: PCA High School is beginning an Advanced Placement (AP) Program September 2011-2012. The Advanced Placement courses provide students with the opportunity to try university-level work in high school, and to gain valuable skills and study habits for post-secondary education. If students earn a "qualifying" grade on the AP Exam, usually a score of 4 or 5 out of 5, many colleges and universities worldwide will give students credit and/or advanced placement for their achievement. In the US, many colleges will let students start college as a sophomore, provided the students meet their AP requirements. Registration for AP Exams occurs in early March and the exams are written the first two weeks of May.
