Dear PCA Parents and Alumni Members,
Call for Directors
The PCA Board would like to open the call for directors from September 13, 2010 to October 10, 2010. This year, two (2) Parent Directors from the Parent Members and one (1) Alumni Director from the Alumni Members are to be elected. The election of directors will be finalized in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will be held in November 2010.
This coming year is a year of building: building our faith in the Lord together, building our care for the PCA families, and building the new site for the school. The Lord encouraged Zerubbabel to build the Temple with these words:
‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. (Zechariah 4:6)
Serving on the PCA Board requires total submission to the Lord; trust and obey is the key. There are many issues that can only be resolved in God’s way and in God’s timing. A prime example is to wait for the decision of the Ontario Municipal Board on the appeal against the zoning approval for the Renfrew site. We waited with perseverance and now we rejoice in the favorable decision received.
Please pray and consider carefully your commitment to serve God in the capacity of a PCA Director for a term of three years. PCA Directors will not receive any remuneration other than the reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred in performing their duties.
Parent Director will be elected by the Parent Members; Alumni Director will be elected by the Alumni Members. The timeline for election of directors is as follows:
Call for director candidates Sep 13 to Oct 10
Interview of director candidates Oct 11 to Oct 24
Posting of bio and video Oct 25 to Oct 29
Voting online or by paper copy Oct 30 to two working days before AGM
According to the PCA By-Law sub-section 6.03, “each director shall be a Christian who maintains the qualifications described in I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-16”. The current PCA Board in conjunction with the Nominating Committee reserves the right to assess the eligibility of an applicant to stand for election.
All applicants must register as a member of PCA.

In the past year, the PCA Board has been encouraged by three words: humble, united, and forgiving. We are constantly reminded by the Lord’s requirement:
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
If you sense God’s calling to walk with Him, to serve in the PCA ministry, please respond in obedience and faith.
Please pray that the Lord will raise up people of His own choosing to serve on the Board.
